New car collected!

I finally have the new "cut down" list. It doesn't seem too bad really, the biggest difference I can see is obviously no Audi.

Most of the engines are 150ps variety, but there are a couple stand out cars to me.

PASSAT SALOON PETROL R-LINE PASSAT SALOON R-LINE 2.0 TSI 220PS DSG £169pm
GOLF SPORT DIESEL GTD GOLF A7 SPORT GTD 2.0 184PS TDI 5DR DSG6 £161pm
ARTEON DIESEL R-LINE ARTEON R-LINE 2.0 TDI 190PS 7SPD DSG £187pm

Allocations
PASSAT SALOON PETROL: 25
GOLF SPORT DIESEL: 30
ARTEON PETROL: 30

They have a high allocation of Tiguans this time round, but the 190ps isn't in R-Line. For R-Line I'd have to go 150ps.

TIGUAN DIESEL SEL TIGUAN SEL 2.0 TDI SCR 190 PS 4MOTION 7 SPEED DSG £186pm

Allocations 167!

I will probably pick the Passat Petrol first choice and Tigaun as the fall back option.

RIP Thread, choices blow

The lack of Audi does suck. I'm looking at the scheme now as a cheap way to run our work horse / main family car, which these cars do well. Trouble free motoring for 150-180pm is great.

Then for our 2nd car, get something a bit more exciting e.g. M235i, Z4 35iS, etc.

Surely the Arteon is the best in the list?

The Arteon is a strong choice, but not too different to the Passat. I'd prefer the 220ps petrol over the 190ps diesel. Both have weak allocations anyway, so may put the Tiguan as the first choice to be safe.

Just had a chat with my brother and he wants to make some changes. His fiancée is on the Scania scheme, which is the exact same list, just more expensive. He wants to have me go onto the Scania scheme and his fiancée on the VWG scheme which is cheaper.

Cost is about 30-40pm more, not massive, and I still think it's good value, just not as good value as before.

Coming off the scheme and buying a car would be a bigger cost impact.

OK so I have the new list from Scania scheme, and here's a direct comparison to the above.

PASSAT SALOON PETROL R-LINE PASSAT SALOON R-LINE 2.0 TSI 220PS DSG £211pm (£42pm increase)
GOLF SPORT DIESEL GTD GOLF A7 SPORT GTD 2.0 184PS TDI 5DR DSG6 £193pm (£32pm increase)

No Arteon on the list.

Allocations are high for Tiguan Diesel and the new Polo petrol. Everything else is slim pickings.

I'll be letting my brother know I want to leave the scheme. It's been good, I'm still looking forward to my delayed Q5, but I'll be going back to buying a used car(s) from November time.

Currently I have an ageing Honda Civic 2.2 (2009) that is our 2nd car, and obviously the scheme car. The plan is to trade the Honda in for a Z4 for my wife, then get something to replace the scheme car to act as the family car - currently thinking BMW 328i. It will depend on funds at the time.
