After weeks and weeks of waiting, I finally picked up the car on Friday that I put a deposit down on about 4 weeks ago. Thanks to OllyM for the lift to collect it :)

The car is a BMW 530i Sport and I already love it. I still have the Mondeo sat outside and hopefully it'll sell soon, I'm certainly not in a hurry to get back in it now!

There are a few things I need to do to get the car 100%, but I got the car for a pretty good price which leaves enough spare to get a few things fixed and buy a couple of extras for it :)

I've already ordered Xenons, a Nokia car kit, and an amp to improve the sound from the stock head unit - hopefully I'll get all this fitted over the next week or so.

In aesthetic terms, it desperately needs the ///M badge removing from the boot (any suggestions how best to do this? I've heard several people suggest taking a hairdryer to it). I'd also love to swap the 17s for the nicer looking 18s but that's something I'll consider in the future - there things that better justify the money for the time being.

Photos below. Mine is the black one, the other cars are OllyM's 530i Sport, and Oblivious' Elise.

Looking awesome, love black cars!

I'm tempted to get tints like that for my black Octavia vRS, really suites it! Are they standard on the bmw?

Noooo another one :p

At least in the near future ocuk will own all the 530s in the country and can dictate the price for them ;)

Looks good, enjoy it :)

Olly's has factory tints on the rear, but mine doesn't - just the standard few % tint that all cars have - blame my photography skills if it looks any different!!

How does it compare to the mondy?

The main different is just how flat and composed it is compared with cornering. My Mondeo was a Ghia X with standard suspension and wallowed around like a boat in comparison. It's hard to put your finger on it too, but it just has something about it that makes it feel a little more special.

The 530i is a great all-round car. Congratulations :).

Looks good in black too...

Slushmatic?

Nice looking car btw!

That would be a good thing. All other factors* aside I'd always choose an automatic over a manual in a big exec car.

* Such as the available auto being crap, there being a big difference in cost, resale value, etc
