New Cardiff signing onboard missing flight

Been confirmed on board now. Oh dear, a plane going down at night in January in the waters around the channel islands is very unlikely to have a happy ending.

This is absolutely awful. :(

You know it's not going to be your year when this happens.

Surprised it doesn't happen more often though with the amount of flights professional sports people take on a daily basis around the world.

That highlights that flying is generally safe, it's just them when there are accidents they are usually catasthrophic.

i know its a horrid thought at this time, but what happens in a situation like this?

is the club insured against the loss of an asset?

£18million spent you would think that they put contingencies in place

I was discussing this with my boss. I’d assume insurance would be in place to mitigate the losses. I suppose the question is also what was the actual fee and then how much is add ons. And then how that would be treated.

Parts of wreckage found, so all hope gone.

RIP to Emiliano Sala and David Ibbotson.

Edit:

Updated information on the pilot...a part time pilot and gas engineer...
