No-one said it was generally more poweful. They are simply saying it can process a hell of a lot more physics calculations than a cpu can do on its own. Which is clear from the footage ive seen.

200 times the "physics power"
Oops my bad. Didn't notice it said physics :o

personally i dont really care about all the blob. It will probably be fun to shoot a box at someone for about 10minutes or so then the fun has gone. e.g. half life 2 deathmatch.

Id be far more interested to see a demo of physics like bullet holes chopping walls up, grenades blowing holes in the floor, C4 levelling buildings etc. obviously in different ways all the time like in real life :)

If its widely adopted it will be another thing that pc gamers have to regularly upgrade and buy in order to get that killer factor from their games.

Physics could be the new graphics.. and if that becomes their slogan im suing..

oooh whens this due? CTF with jedi powers !

Probly not till the end of 2007 so we've got a long time to wait :(

Still, it gives me a chance to save up for a completely new system to run it on

nope its not zero-g they just have jedi like powers it looks like.

Water is pretty hard to simulate. Each blob is made up from a point, im probly wrong but i think they're called surfles which break away from each other when they exceed a certain threshold. The more surfles a material has the more realisticly things will break apart. Can you imagine how many breaking points water would need to start looking ultra realistic. This is why at the moment the blood sprays around in fairly big blobs... which also points to having to upgrade your physx card in the future like everything else.
