Tbh there's nothing really there except an updated look, smoother edges etc and a bit on kinect visually. Still can't turn off the endless blades of pap. Still haven't put friends near my xbox so don't have to skip of the blades of pap.

Mine is updating now. Looks quite s****y (this is supposed to say swa-nky) , and the Xbox 360 startup noise is quite cool.

Hahaha yeah. 2nd update was to tell me basically how to use the controls :confused:

I thought it was just party chat with another xbox user I couldn't hear. can't hear voice messages either.

I can't hear anything in Party or Private chat. Same for voice messages. As soon as I joined a game on MW2 though I could hear everything and they could hear me which is kinda strange really??

So are they not upgrading the voice codec for in-game chat, just party chat? :confused:

The codec will be updated for all voice communications, but while we're in a state of some have/some don't, there are gonna be problems like this.

The preview program stated that game communications shouldn't be affected, but other chat would be. So far, they haven't lied.

I tried out the new codec with a fellow beta tester earlier.

He was using the TB X41's and I was using the Astro A40 with the amp and there is a very noticable difference, voices now have depth and a lot more clarity, albeit it still is not as good as a vent server or TS server but a good step in the right direction.

The second update was just some tutorial presentation explaining how to navigate the dashboard. I guess you'll have to keep trying until it goes through? :confused:

Yeah i got that and done the tutorial, now it keeps saying there is an update but it isn't available so wont let me connect.

Provided the LT shortcuts are still there it isn't much of an issue imo.

I wish they had an option to configure which section the triggers skipped to. It never goes to "My Xbox" and "Friends" but always something daft like Spotlight.
