New CPU, RAM and Motherboard and constant crashes and windows installation error when I try to reinstall any programs.

I would be eternally grateful for any help here as I'm really struggling.

I replaced some parts and my setup is now 7700x, MSI Gaming mono with WiFi, 3080 and 850 watt PSU.

The system boots up OK, then I play a game for 30 minutes or so and then it crashes. Then it crashes soon after re-entering the game. I turn my pc off for 15 minutes and the cycle repeats.

I also have this windows installation error.

I have reset and reinstalled Windows 11 twice, updated all drivers and uninstalled all old files related to the previous Intel chip. I have updated the Bios. I have reduced the wattage down to 65 Watts.

I have ran several checks/scans through command prompt.

Still the problem persists.

In event manager the bugs are the occasional Kernel power error and many application errors.

I have ordered a new PSU (1200 watts) but I have a feeling this won't fix it.

I would be grateful for any help here please!

Reinstalled windows twice?
Why then would there be files left
From the previous intel chip to uninstall/delete?
Did you actually do a clean reinstall of windows ?
Ie wipe the original windows then reinstall from scratch?
When I first booted it up, there were still Intel files.

For Windows 11 I did a "reset PC". But if there's a better way please let me know.

By "crash" what do you mean exactly? CTD? BSOD? Black screen?

What kind of application errors? You mean where they have to be closed? That's not necessarily a problem, since many are harmless, but it could indicate CPU or memory instability. Do you have any undervolts? PBO/curve optimiser? What speed is your memory operating at and how many sticks?

What does that mean? You just enabled eco mode?
Typically the game simply closes suddenly, sometimes it blue screens and reboots (often two or three times in a row before it reaches the login screen).

Usually the game simply shuts suddenly, sometimes it bluescreens and does this several times before reaching the Windows login screen.

The "application errors" are shown on the Event Viewer.

For the CPU/ram etc...the user benchmark screenshots are as attached.

Usually the game crashes and I am staring at desktop, sometimes it's blue screen and it takes several attempts to get to the Windows login screen.

The "Application errors" are shown on the Event Viewer, it is the most numerous error but I cannot glean any further useful info from the information provided.

I have subsequently enable XMP and removed the 65 Watt in the Bios.

It is not in Eco mode, I cannot install the Ryzen software to enable this due to the Windows installer error.

With the GPU, do you have 1 x power cable from the PSU to 2 x 8 pin connecters? If so I would change it to 2 x power cables to each 8 pin connecter.

What parts did you replace?

Do you have PBO or CO enabled in the bios?

With my 9800X3D I did a all core -30, PC booted fine and most things where working but when I played Helldivers 2 the PC was crash and I would need to force a shut down. Removing the -30 and turning back off PBO and CO resolved the issue even though other games where fine.

What are you using for storing Windows on?

What cooler are you using? could you have tightened this up too much?

The GPU has 2 x 8 pin connectors. I have slotted in a 6+2 connector into each.

I have PBO enabled now (I removed the 65 wattage) but what is CO?

The cooler is a Noctua NH-U12A and this has been refitted with new new thermal paste, problems persist though.

use a usb drive to create windows installation media (second option in the link)
I have attempted this twice this afternoon. I put windows 11 on a portable hard drive and changed the boot priority accordingly. I then booted, selected language and entered my windows key and selected the partition. Then "Installing Windows" blue screen and then a message telling me if I wish to upgrade Windows unplug portable drive and select "Yes", otherwise press "No" for a clean installation.

I press No and then eventually it goes full circle and I am asked to select language, enter product key...

I have put windows on a USB drive and unfortunately it still will not clean install. It just eventually goes back to the language screen.

This is the partition option, should I not be picking the highlighted?

Long post so kind of lost track
So may ask something already asked before
At least can probably rule out windows now
Unless its a 24h2 issue

Is it only games causing a problem?
All games or specific games?
Does looping a gpu benchmark for an equivalent length
of time cause same problem?
Monitoring temperature when it crashes?
Cpu and gpu temperature

Motherboard on latest bios?
And yes run memtest

Got any friends or family with compatible hardware
Where you could double check stuff?

New cpu have integrated graphics?
If so does it happen on igpu instead of gpu?

Windows ram diagnostic may not be
As thorough a test as memtest
Still better than not testing the ram though

All games, either crash when playing (Minecraft every time) or crash as I exit the game (PUBG and Cyberpunk).

I have the updated BIOS, updated CPU, motherboard and GPU drivers.

I have watched Adrenaline whilst playing and temps look fine, CPU and GPU look fine. I will run Memetest85 later.

I will see if the integrated GPU has the same problem later.

Just to check, you are using 2 separate cables from the PSU to the GPU, and not one cable that splits in to 2 at the GPU?

Two cables, each one is 6 pins with 2 extra pins attached. I put both 6 plus 2 into the 8 pin slots on the GPU.
Ideally yes you want 2 separate 8 pin cables
Not a pigtail cable
Though my 3080ti has no issues using pigtail
With an 850w psu
Even in unleashed mode at 400w

And think its original psu and gpu they're using
So while possible it's a less likely issue
Unless new cpu is drawing a load more power

Think they ordered a new psu anyway
So once that's installed
Can see if there's any change to the situation

Edit
3 x 8 pin on my 3080ti not 2
1 separate cable and 1 into 2 x 8 pin pigtail
Wouldn't try 400w through just 2 x 8 pin
Yeah new PSU should arrive next week, I'm leaning towards this being the culprit.
