NEW DAYZ - Dayz Arma 3 Exile mod (How standalone should have been)

I just meant generally from peeps on here if anyone would let me group and show me the ropes. I have 500+ hours on Breaking Point and fancy a change.

I will give your server a try though Ace :)

Have you enabled them all through the launcher? I suggest using A3L (Arma 3 Launcher) as it does all that for you.

I'm always on there six, got some gear and bases and happy to share as we've played a number of times together. Had a cracking battle with some Russians who blew up one of my choppers up. I tracked their bases down, mined outside the front door and waited 800m on a peak opposite. They logged on, opened the doors and blew the car up, I then proceeded to snipe them and had easy access to their base. Was so good to have it all fall in to place.
 
It's 0.3.9.1 at the moment, they update too often. We will update to 0.4 once we've tested it but for now it's 0.3.9.1.
 
I've had a couple of goes at this but not sure I'm doing it right. I spawn at the largest city and get into a scrap at the nearest hotspot, rinse and repeat. How do you get going with missions - do you have to head up to terminal?

I'd spawn at a quieter spawn point, get some decent gear and then have a go at missions. Depending on which server you're playing on, I'd suggest trying to group up, if it's a busier server you might well be competing with other players for the mission or they'll be players waiting to take out the players wanting to do the mission.

How do you get started on a mission. Is there a waypoint on the map? Cheers!
 
Is there strictly no ambient sounds in the Exile mod (wind,birds etc) only been on a couple of servers so far and there wasn't any...less immersion and atmosphere for me.
 
Going to try and get the mods sorted again this evening. Ended up on a 7 hour stint on Breaking Point with some randoms after this wouldn't work on Saturday.

@ shephga...remind me what ur steam name is, I get so many invites from playing A3 I forget who's who.
 
finally bit the bullet and picked arma 3 up when it was on offer on steam a week or so ago.. Just need to get used to the settings etc and I'll pop on for some fun :).... loved Dayz but not played it in ages... will see how it goes :)
 
RHS updated to 0.4 and some new vehicles / weapons added. :D
