New Dell IPS S2721DGF 165hz gaming monitor

Got mine setup now, pretty happy with it. Maybe a slight dimming on the sides but can't tell if it's my eyes playing tricks on me.

Calibrated it with my Spyder4PRO and the included software. Then scrapped that and re did it with Display Cal.

Results below, this model is on the left. My older U2715H is on the right.. still unsure how to reduce the saturation or if it's even possible on the S2721DGF though. Anyone know?

Don't think you can. Unless it has a dedicated sRGB emulation mode?

I'm on the dell site now - and they are £390. How are people (who are not students) getting them for less? My old 24" Dell just fell off the end of my table :( need a replacement fast.

Mine arrived today.

One thing that really has stood out to me is how loud the push in for the joystick on the back is! Kinda irritating.

Great monitor other than that! :D

DAILYMAIL5 works for a 5% discount, another £19.50 off that £390

Otherwise find a friend who is a student or has kids at school with a school email. :p

*edit, noticed in the other thread DAILYMAIL8 works for 8%

Also, does anyone know how the Dell 32 Curved Gaming Monitor: S3220DGF compares to the S2721DGF?

Any view on S2721DGF vs it's curved cousin the S2721DHF
S3220DGF is a huge VA panel. So its going to have far better blacks, but much worse motion and viewing angles. Still thats personal preference.
S2721DHF is 1080p at 27" and is also a VA panel.

Mine has been shipped now from Dell. Delivery could be soon.

Got one of these codes to work to bring the price down to £331.

Anyones plastic around the back of the monitor not feel as solid as they would like?

There is a little movement when pressed not so hard on either side behind the monitor. Nothing crazy but wasn't expecting it.

Thoughts?

Proper monitor always looks better than a TV!

Random question, my current setup, OC 6600k, 8gb rxr80, 16gb DDR4..

So I'm happily running metro exodus at 1440p 120hz.. Although I dropped the in game graphics defaults from ultra to high...

Is there any point running higher hz on my hardware? I've not checked this game FPS specifically but I imagine my average frame rate is something like 40 to 70 FPS.

Am using freesync but changing in game settings down to high defiantly made a positive difference.
