New E60 M5 owner, just had her detailed. I love Interlagos Blue!

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not sure on the calipers either - will probably redo them in black.

The warranty was definitely £612 last year for comprehensive without breakdown, I have the paperwork to scan if you're interested?

Thanks for the additional info about renewal, food for thought :) 2k with £250 excess doesn't sound bad for comprehensive considering.

The BMW Warranty website! That's an absolutely cracking deal, though no Emergency Service which seems odd :p

Be interesting to see what the renewal price is, so we can work out what level of discount a car on existing cover gets.

I don't normally recommend the £250 excess but as it shaves almost a grand off the price it seems pretty sensible on an 60k+ M5 - especially as niggly sub £250 stuff probably isnt a big deal to an M5 owner anyway. The policy exists to protect you against monster bills for which I'm sure you'll be delighted to only have to pay £250 towards :D

Fox do you work for BMW warranty ;)

If not you must surely have shares?!? ;)

when you see the bills that repairing the SMG gearbox can produce, you'd understand why a BMW warranty is essential for cars like this.

Although you probably could find a "BMW specialst" capable of fixing the SMG gearbox in the M5, even with indy rates, the warranty will work out cheaper if something big goes wrong.

It's cheap because it's incorrect. He says it has the full cover until November - this cannot be the case if it was £612.

Where do you get your prices from?

Cheers for posting that. Never knew that was possible? I thought the price on the website, was the price you pays!

BTW you would have earned extra points if your screen had the above post displayed, next to the letter ;)

There is a discount for cars already on cover. Though its not quite the full package as he has no emergency service which saves another 70 or so.

£70 extra is pretty good for emergency service actually, although I already have that sorted with the GFs car on a joint policy so probably not worth changing
