New essential Android apps thread

looking for an app that would allow me to record distance covered in various different methods while in the gym. Namely treadmill, cross trainer, rower etc. and record time etc.

any ideas?

Depending on thew phone you have it may not be that accurate. Might be better buying a fitness tracker that can hook up with your phone, Fitbit does some decent ones.

Google Fit? I start and stop an exercise when I start and stop cycling. You can then edit in the distance you covered if you want.

I'm guessing you want more functionality, but haven't said what?

Are there any better alternatives to Internet Speed Meter? I have the 'lite' version but I'm considering the pro.

Simply let me enter distance covered, time taken for each session and add them up so I an see how far I've covered on each machine. I could just do it myself with a calculator but hey, what are smart phones for :p

Then I think Google Fit will be okay. The main thing it shows you is how active you've been each day. { **EDIT** Actually, I think it only shows time, not distance } Only possible issue, it will lump in to that walking to the gym or the shops. This might be a good or a bad thing.

I think Strava will do what you want, I don't think any apps will track what you do on the gym as you're not moving - but dedicated fitness trackers like strava will allow you to add in non-tracked activities.

What time of machines do you have in the gym? My old gym had a fob you used on each machine and it sync'd with the gym and myfitnesspal so I didn't need to track anything manually.

can anyone recommended a photo editing tools that has mirror effect

ive got snapseed and also pixlr but they lack this tool.

I was looking at picsart but it seems bloated and has social network intergrated which i am not keen on

Fairly sure that's been around a long time. But yes, they are apparently looking to separate SMS and Hangouts again... I really don't know why.

That Messenger app is an update to an app that's been around for ages. It never went away, they just stopped installing it by default when they decided everyone should use Hangouts for SMS. They are back tracking on that now and I think the new update to Hangouts rollng out now no longer tries to be your SMS all by default.

Got updated when lollipop was released. The rest is how you said it.
