New essential Android apps thread

Yes. It sometimes tries to access my google play games account on the tube and hangs for 20s or so but it doesn't need a connection to play

Skyforce 2014 - Played it for 2 weeks solid in the Caribean about 18 months back... nowt much else to do as the hotel sucked. Game was awesome though and bloody good fun.

Bit of a strange one for you guys; my Mum's accrued about £15 on Google Rewards and wants to get some books with it from the Play Store. Is there anyway see can read them through her Kindle? Otherwise, how does she go about reading them on her Android devices?

I've never been an e-reader man, still like the feel of a good text in my hand :p

Download "Play Books" to read them on Android devices. According to this page the book's can't be viewed on a Kindle but you are able to download books from the Play Store in PDF format and PDF's can be sent to a Kindle so i'm not sure on that one. https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/179863?hl=en-GB

Yeah I installed it after I posted that, got my 3 months gold too.

Its not bad considering its in its first iteration. But its no replacement for Relay, Sync or Boost just yet. - Still trying to decide which one of those three I prefer!

Never been a fan of RiF.

On this subject? What does everyone else use for Reddit?

Weird thing with Textra the last day or so, keeps saying it can't get MMS settings and I should check MMS parameters in the app settings. No changes there made or need doing.

Uninstalled and gone back to Samsung's new SMS app, it seems good too and identifies unknown numbers like the phone app does.

Will stick to this I think for now.

As for reddit. I've got the paid versions of various inc Sync, but Relay always gets the most use as it's just a better and more logical interface.

Forgive the silly question but I assume the twitter app that came on my phone was put on there by vodafone and it's not part of a stock android setup?

(smart ultra 6 and android 5.1.1 if it matters)
