New essential Android apps thread

I handed keyboard and adjustable vertical height as well.

Indeed, although they were the last update.

For top row numbers it's perhaps easier to just have Long Press for Symbols checked in the preferences, then a long press on any top row key gives you the number you can see. Although, any field that requires a password brings up a number row by default. Enough for me anyway :)

are all of the email clients on the Play Store as secure as each other? i am looking for one for work, anyone know the best option? One where I can put in the IMAP/SSL/Server settings etc.

I've been using CloudMagic for a few months. Does 99% of the things I want. One thing it didn't do (going back to email list after deleting an email while reading it) so I emailed the devs and there was an update a few days later with that in! That said, another thing I requested hasn't been put in :( I would like to exclude a certain email account from from 'All inboxes' view, don't really want my work email polluting my personal ones.

Good app to keep track of incomin / outgoing bills?

Due to my mum moving out, in now in charge of the house and having to deal with the bills for the first time in my life :( pretty scary.

Anyone can recommend me a good app to have all the information in one place?

Do you have a PC? Microsoft Money Plus is free and actually very good for this.

I made a video the other day of some of my most used and most useful daily apps -

Any apps that, on a one off basis, give you the status of your battery? I don't want something managing/monitoring the whole time as I tend to fine them quite resource hungry. I've just replaced the battery in my Z1 Compact and I'm "batt-curious" :D

Does anyone know of a better online radio app than Tune-In? I've not used it in a couple of years, recently started to use it and it seems full of ads and popups unless you fork out £7.95 a month?

Isn't the Pro version free on Amazon? Or it was, I have it.

As far as I can tell, the current Pro version (£7.69 from Google Play, £5.88 from Amazon) gets rid of some of the ads, but not their own ads for the premium content which they want a monthly sub for.

It seems to be one of the apps that is always given away when Amazon do an app store giveaway but it's not free at the moment.

But it's honestly the best app for it for me, so whether it's worth persevering with the free version or ponying up for Pro (the Pro version is a one off upgrade and gets you streaming radio, the monthly thing is if you want their streaming music/audiobook service which is cack) is your choice.

Does the Pro version still spam you with options to subscribe though? Reviews on the Play store seems to suggest so?

Some people seem to have a vastly different idea of what constitutes spamming about it than I do. Yes, there is an ad on the front page for their premium channels nestled in with your normal recommendations (that is clearly an ad, complete with "Start your free trial" button) and the premium options do of course come before everything else in the browsing menus nut that's about it.

http://imgur.com/m1QDRKf is what you see. I wouldn't call it particularly spamming or intrusive. To be honest now I have all my regular stations favourited I don't really go on the main page. If it was interrupting streams to play ads for their service I'd call it a valid complaint but not for that.

Oh and if you don't turn off notifications it'll occasionally it'll push a "Listen Now" notification when an event that they have coverage for is about to happen.

And by occasionally I mean twice in a week is a busy week.

Thanks for that, I'll have a think about it. Currently stumbled across another one that seems to be ok (just called Radioplayer). Seems to have all the UK stations and supports casting.
