I use SD Maid, you need to be rooted. It removes empty folders and "corpses" from old apps

Wonder if it (or any other app) can remove junk left behind by previously-uninstalled apps. One of the things I find annoying is that deleted apps will leave behind old files, folders etc. It should really be part of the uninstall process that anything created is removed. Bad enough having to deal with that sort of thing on my PC, let alone my phone too.

I believe clean master does this also.

I tried windows FE but I couldn't locate any of the media files on my HTC. All I could find were loads of other folders... assumed they are hidden/protected from inexperienced numpties like me.

Airdoid is now installed but I need to check out how to use it ploppery.

It took me a little while to figure out, as the firewall on PC was blocking transfer. Corrected that and now it's a doddle!! What a great little app, although a little unstable (at least for me).

If it's only Photos and Videos, get a copy of Dropbox, Set it to AutoSync Photo's and Video's and if you're on a limited data package, set it to only do it on Wi-Fi... Works a charm for me!!

Foldersync and 50GB Box.net account is what i use; can also be used with loads of other cloud services as well FTP/S3 etc.

Im not really a cloud user yet, but I did set up a dropbox account and will try to link it in the way you suggested. Transfer direct to pc was something which I thought should be easy. Photosync is designed to be really easy to use, and as long as you have no firewall issues it is.

'Copy' does the same! I've got an account with them also, and 27Gb free storage!!
