New essential Android apps thread

It may not be difficult but it also shouldn't be necessary, especially for the average user. I understand why people root, but 95% of people don't really want to be messing around, they just want to buy a phone and use it.

Add this calendar to your Google calendar then just use some calendar widget :)

https://www.google.com/calendar/[email protected]/public/basic.ics

On the left, there is a drop down menu by "Other Calendars" - you can either "Add by URL" (copy and paste the ICS link) or "Import Calendar" (download the ICS file and upload it in the slot there.)

does anyone know a good T9 keyboard to replace the stock keyboard?

I used to use a T9 layout on my old HTC One S (was a built in option) but now I have changed phones (cant say handset as its under NDA) and I want to be able to type with 1 thumb again ....
