New essential Android apps thread

Official support was pulled since Jelly Bean, but you could still download the apk from the Adobe archives. It works with compatible browsers (Chrome purposely blocks it) up to 4.3 on ARM based ROMs (not x86). KitKat 4.4 removed a few stuff which doesn't allow the Flash apk to work anymore.

There is a hacked version floating around that allows use in Dolphin, which I use for watching streams exclusively.

It took a while to become supported but finally got Barclays mobile banking and Pingit installed under rooted conditions with thanks to RootCloak Plus. Now I no longer need to grab my debit card and pin sentry to bank.

I've also installed the LG keyboard which does appear to be very good. Faster prediction and typing than all other keyboards I have tried to date.

The Biz theme looks sweet too.

Is there an .APK for the keyboard?

Thanks

Does anyone use Android Device Manager?

It seems that if you have location turned off, you can't actually locate your phone? This seems like a big oversight?

I use Cerberus anyway, so it's not a massive problem. I'm just trying to figure out if it'll be useful for my mum's Nexus 5!

Keep location turned on I suppose :p

If it's off any decent locator app (Cerberus) should turn it on discreetly anyway.

Your Cerberus account allows you to add more than 1 device, add your mum's phone to it?

I rarely have location turned on. But like you said, Cerberus turns it on discreetly anyway.

I had my mum's old phone on my Cerberus account, but she lives in the middle of nowhere and it was bloody annoying getting email notifications that her phone had gone into 'emergency mode' :p

I'm fed up of Firefox mobile now. Started using the stock HTC browser on my HO as I found that to be the best, although obviously I lose my bookmarks syncing from my desktop Firefox and adblock (the ABP app works but not as well as the addon, but it stops the annoying "YOU HAZ VIRUS!" popups).

Now I need a good browser for my N10, but there's something about Chrome that bugs me... Any good browsers that can sync with Firefox/Chrome? There's Dolphin and it's bookmark addon but I find the jetpack addon stops the ABP app from well, blocking ads.

Pushbullet just got even better. Syncs fully now with chrome

Oh god, just noticed the article on Android Police about it. I'm starting to have more reasons to move to Chrome :p.

EDIT: Can't seem to log into Pushpullet via Chrome. I'm guessing this has something to do with the Google service outage earlier? I'm still signed into the Firefox version and both HO/N10...

EDIT 2: Nevermind, works now.

On my note 2 I could play YouTube videos in the Web browser but now with the note 3 it always opens up in YouTube

I can't remember if I installed an app or patch on the note 2 (my Google skills are failing me)

And ideas guys?

...This is with the the stock note browser btw

The Barclays app is the one thing stopping me from rooting. Can you explain how you went about getting it to work on a rooted device?
