New essential Android apps thread

Anyone point me to a decent email app (yahoo address I use mainly)

I have been using gmail 5.0 but it's constantly syncing and thus draining the battery quickly (set to 1 hour sync etc but seems to constantly get stuck syncing)

Not sure if it will work, but download the exchange APK: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...-support-material-design-landed-apk-download/

And see if you can set up the Yahoo account as push with that.

Alternatively see if the official Yahoo mail app works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.mail

I am looking for a basic cache cleaner app that doesn't require root and isn't full of ad support. Any recommendations? I am still on 4.1.1. It doesn't need to have scheduling, just the ability to list off all the App caches and their current size and then the ability to select and delete/clear the ones I want, or all in one go.

Edit: Scrap that, thought you could select individual apps but I'm not sure now.

I prefer Shuttle+ - beautifully designed music app.

I tried Shuttle+, but there was something I didnt like about that i wanted, I think it was something like how you cant choose a specific folder to play for that session - rather than create a bunch of playlists, I just dump the music files in certain folders, and players like Poweramp just play those folders, i dont think Shuttle could

Google's Text-to-speech engine was updated recently and the default voice now seems to be the best quality one available, so if you'd manually downloaded a 'high quality' one you can delete it because it'll actually be worse.
