New essential Android apps thread

Hmm, not really liking that Poweramp skin. The album art overlaps on the on screen buttons, and I'm far too lazy to resize it. The big text sucks too. :p I think the author's '8 in 1 Flat Dark' skins are far better:

Flat dark is nice but I still use the KitKat skin with translucent status bars.

I dislike the Material skin too though!
 
I went to Settings -> Album Art and changed the background type to solid colour to suit the material theme more. The album art feels a bit off on this theme, but apart from that it's pretty good. Now if only there was a widget to suit it :p.

Is there a simple way around having the pin security on the lock screen when using email exchange?

I need my work emails, but its a pain having to use a pin every time I want to unlock my phone.

I've seen a few email apps that have pin security built in, would this be my best option? I assume I can then use the swipe to unlock my lock screen, but need the pin just to access my email?

If so which are the better apps?

I have a similar thought. I have to have Google Device Policy enforcing 6 character password (and encryption) to have my work Gmail account sync.

On the Nexus 6 I can use Smart Lock to not bother asking when my watch is connected and works great. Can this be emulated with apps on 4.4.4?
 
I love 'Smart Lock' on Lollipop. I've seen there are a few apps that can replicate it on KitKat, does anyone have experience with any of them?

Yes, quite like Two Dots (level 34).

Anyone tried Monument Valley? Was app of the day recently. Personally I think it’s an absolutely stunning puzzle game using penrose/infinite stairs.

Quite short game and fairly easy but it must have taken ages to design.
 
Probably posted already but don't care. Knight of The Old Republic is out :D - fap fap! I pray it plays well on a phone as I have been dying to play for some time.

Monument Valley is great, be sure to get the Forgotten Shores add-on too.
