New essential Android apps thread

Or web addresses, or version numbers, or any number with a decimal, or basically just typing properly like a normal person!

Its a tiny feature that drives me insane, and is literally the only reason I don't use SwiftKey. It will never go though, as its integral to the way SwiftKey works. :(

I stopped using the Facebook app because it's a mess. Using Metal Pro and it works a lot better: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nam.fbwrapper.pro

They have a free version too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nam.fbwrapper

What a terrible app! It just loads the website in a wrapper that slows it down and causes issues. Might as well just use the website!

I don't have any issues with the official app to be honest, it can be a bit annoying at times but it's decent for the most part.

Well, it's the best alternative app, seeing as FB killed a lot of their public APIs, so the only way a 3rd party app can contain all the features is wrap around the mobile site version. Honestly when the APIs were still working, there was a couple of better Facebook apps that worked brilliantly.

Personally like Google Music. 3 of us on a Family plan for £15 a month and you get 10% off anything you buy in the play store (TV, Film, Apps)

Play Music is my 1st choice, but atm I have free Spotify and Amazon to choose from so not subscribed - still use it for the music I have uploaded though.

I'd say:

1. PM
2. Spotify
3. AM

I can't comment on the offering from Apple as I haven't used it.

Play Music is amazing. Only annoyance is the amount of time it takes to start up when you have a largish library but for the choice, price and ability to download everything you want aswell as stream its pretty much head and shoulders above the competition.

Amazon prime.

Can you download and play offline with Prime?

Sure I saw Prime on offer atm

Personally I had Amazon Prime before Music was added... I still now pay for Google Music, it's a much better service in my opinion.

Interested by all these comments guys, as a rule of thumb would you say Google Music is better than the other big music streaming services, namely Spotify and Deezer?
