New essential Android apps thread

Oh I use TV Show Tracker which tracks films and TV shows and you can cross them off once watched etc. It taps into your trakt account (https://trakt.tv/dashboard). I watcha lot of shows so it's nice having upcoming and pending to watch episodes all logged in one place.

As for other apps, I recently switched to Aves gallery and it is outstanding with a nice interface and various ways to group and customise. I don't use cloud storage for photos and videos hence the 1TB phones, so organising all my media in folders and groups properly is the way I do things.

back on nova news, Smart Launcher devs have said they are working on an update to import Nova backups, I will check out Smart once that happens!

Nova Launcher development ia now dead :/

Looks like I will check out Octopi and see how that goes, shame as I've been on nova since around 2014 with essentially the same homescreen layout and app drawer folder organisation. Everything is set up as gestures on the homescreen!

I read about this the other day. I've used Nova Launcher since 2012. Bit gutted that it's dead. Seems that Branch bought it just to get people's data.
I'm now using Microsoft launcher which seems very similar. I tried Octopi but it isn't fully there yet.

As a cyclist (so often want to know if it will rain, how cold it will be) I've found Yr to be pretty good. Having said that, it's not been so good for wind, but rain and sun it seems to be pretty accurate.
