Well my misses rang me when it was being fitted and the conversation went like this:

Her - Hey, where are you?
Me - I'm in Kent having some bits done to my car
Her - Oh right, which bits?
Me - err....it's being made louder
Her - It was loud enough before!
Me - You clearly don't know what your talking about!

I often take a break on Hedley Avenue(?) - Near the proctor & Gamble site who we haul for, the only trouble is I don't know I'm going there until the afternoon that I start my shift.

Mail me your number (in trust) and I'll get in touch sometime. - That said, I'll probably spend the next 6 mths going anywhere but Thurrock , haulage works like that..... :)

I was thinking of getting something to make my ST sound a little better - it just doesn't 'sound' like a V6, but I don't want it to sound chav (I get enough stick as it is having a mondeo where I work) just a nice V6 grunt. Maybe I should be thinking more intake than exhaust but what do I know, I'm stupid when it comes to mechanical stuff.

edit - just listened again on my headphones instead of the rubbish speakers at work. Nice.

Catalytic converters are quite restrictive. Removing that restriction will make the exhaust gases exit much faster, whilst ruining the AFR mixture, making it run lean and making a bit more power.

To get the best out of a new exhaust, you need different engine management/re-tune.

Sports cat? I thought they were designed exactly to stop that.

Funny how super cars sound amazing without emitting more fumes than a nuclear power plant.

Mine has been de-catted and will still pass an emissions test due to the precat being enough to pass emissions tests.

Even a sports cat is gonna throw out the air/fuel mixture. The standard map is obviously based on the standard exhaust system.

Not all sports cats will pass an MOT. Depends on what type it is.
