New Flat - Parking Issue

Just to add, the property management won't care, they brought in the services of the private parking company so they can wash their hand of any parking tittle tattle.

You have a right to park there as resident, so you simply need to tell them (the parking company, not the property management) to 'do one' and if they don't agree, they can take it to court. (but put it in more eloquent terms than that).

Is the OP getting a PCN charge for not displaying the permit, on the space allocated to his property?

I coudl understand if it was randomly parked on the road with no permit, but surely the parking space provided with the home he rents is a completely differnet thing?

why? what else would stop any tom, dick or harry parking in the private parking? how would the enforcement company know whos entitled to park at a glance without needing all occupants to maintain their data?

up until recently ive always lived in areas with extremely limited parking and always had permit parking in residential car parks.

for what its worth im not saying dont appeal the ticket, im just saying i dont think its unreasonable that the OP got ticketed if the permit was not visible.

and for what its worth, the owner of the car parks very rarely have any say as to whether a ticket is cancelled. if you got a ticket in a shop car park for example i doubt very much any of the store staff could help you. i know people that worked in the ashford outlet village that got ticketed but they still had to go to the enforcement company.

Invoiced/ticketed, yes fine, but on appeal (to the parking company) the invoice should be immediately dropped assuming he is resident and has he right to park there.

Once the fact is established that he is resident and has the right to park, I can see no legitimate grounds for the parking company to pursue this.
If they still want money then their only option is to:

A) keep sending nasty letters until the OP buckles
B) Parking company takes OP to court

Given parking companies very rarely win in court if the defendant actually bothers to show up with any kind of defence.

Personally I'd cut to the chase and openly invite them to file against you.

not debating that at all. on displaying a valid right to park then ticket should be cancelled.

just not getting the rage from the OP. enforcement company did its job, letting agent cant really do anything, only course is to appeal, then apply stronger glue to permit :p

Agreed, the parking situation will have been contracted out to a Private parking company.

OP needs to address them (PPC), not the letting agent or the property management company, as they won't care, they've contracted that job out specifically so they don't need or care to get involved.
 
Yeah I know the one, that building has changed hands so many times but the tapas bar is still down there (i think) :D Are you affected much by that work being done behind you after the old carpark was knocked down for this new mall?

May have changed brands, but has been the same company for a while.

I miss the NCP at the back, but I park under our office :D
