You did :) Seems to be sorted now - thanks.

I've searched this thread and can't see a way to turn off avatar (I found the option to not view other people's avatar and signature, but that's not the same thing).

No thread tools drop down anymore, has it been left off or am I just not seeing it?

Definitely preferred the previous forum format, this new one looks too texty - on the plus side works better on my phone but looks naff on my PC.

Cant turn off only your avatar ATM as far as I'm aware, only everyone's

anyone else think the placement of the report and edit button looks odd?
maybe move report button to the avatar pane and edit over to the over buttons.
also as the sigs are never wide, perhaps move the trust/multi/quote up so the sig and buttons are all flush to the bottom of the post, saving some screen space.
Have a look at the number that we have to deal with :p

I'm not sure easier was a huge consideration, not being a 15 year old unsupported code base was pretty high up the list though :p Vbulletin 3 was and is a great platform, but it was made for a different age with vastly different web standards and browsing habits (it's older than the iPhone!). Some very big forums still use it (digitalspy for example) and it hasn't, afaik, any security issues, but bringing it into the modern era would be too big a job for us, so we've chosen a new platform and that is xenforo.

We don't expect it to do everything the same as vbulletin 3, we've tried to make it similar in form and function - but it is different. It's a supported platform with an upgrade path though, so it's something we will be investing more time and effort into customising in the future.

O I was only taking the **** :D. I have no issues with whatever software is used. As long as it functions and I can continue posting dribble and attempts at being witty I am happy :D.

It looks so much better than it did when it was first brought out none of the things left bother me much. If it makes things easier for the mods/admins I can't complain.

Sorry to say guys but I'm still really not gelling with the new layout :(

Finding it quite hard to browse/read to the same degree as the old one. Maybe more time is needed but I'm definitely browsing less.
Agreed genuinely surprised at how little I've surfed.

I'm sure it's more secure and what not but frankly I think you've changed a little bit too much. The previous forum was extremely pleasant to surf (even on a phone) with great layout and colours

IMO, the last forum UI was hideous and this one is worse. Having an all blue background is terrible imo and adding in a lot of pointless additions makes it even worse. I'm sure the team behind the update will get there in the end though, as we have already seen, they've made some nice changes since the update first went live.

I have to agree though, if it weren't for stylish and the dark theme with tweaks to remove a lot of unnecessary/duplicate items, I probably would have stopped browsing here altogether.

Am I doing it wrong but I am finding inserting multiple images into posts is a horrible affair.

Why are image URLs not parsed automatically?

In this day and age, insert URL, press enter, parsed, done.

that's a lot, still so much space on the right they could be shifted and save 5mm per post, which is a fair bit.
i take it mobile hasn't been touched yet and concentrating on desktop, as that frankly is eye gouge infuriating to use, especially as it doesn't save use desktop choice.

As above using xen theme and tweaks from fairly sure the answer is no, I compiled them under a separate user style:

Thank you lads so much!

This honestly looks fantastic and it was so simple to install, compared to the last method with the ancient forum code I literally had to install a version of Opera that was three years old (before they took out an integral feature) and had to add so much code to force it to work in a non supported browser. This literally took two clicks.

DARK THEME FTW.

I noticed something that isn't on the OP's list in post 1. Would it be possible to alphabetise the members online list like it was on the old forum. It makes it so much easier to find a person who is online. Currently I have to scan every name to find out if a member I am looking for is online. Below shows the current un-alphabetised list. Thanks.

Any chance the above could be added to the list on post 1? Thanks.

Both fixed for me, what are you on about? :p

Screenshot!

I find the main body text is too close to sig. A bit more padding or 1 line space makes it better. But that could just be me. The top was the worst which has been fixed now at least :)
