With his permission of course, I think you should make Thesnipergecko's changes permanent, and then build from there.

The difference is staggering when you turn it on and off while viewing a thread!

There is an issue with your theme though Thesnipergecko, the tags at the top overlap the title in smaller windows. Doesn't happen when un-skinned. :)

I gave my permission in my first post. OcUK can take it and do what they want with the CSS.

The error is not with my code ;) it's with thread titles being too long :D (I'll see what I can do)

I am struggling to me search work as it used to :(

This will been down purely to my lack of talent of course, but it's confusing my fragile little mind.

I'd say OCUK have a better idea of what's going on with the shop site than you do. If they'd noticed a drop in takings, site visits and page impressions thanks to the makeover, don't you think they'd have changed back? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not been a success for them.

Ah yes, the site design is universally hated in the forums yet our sizeable anecdote is not statistically significant across a wide margin of people.

Or, OcUK staff are British and stubborn.

I do design - the main site is terrible for usability, objectively.

Did you make the new forum? You seem very upset that others don't like it. And yes, the shop website does still suck.

Don't be silly this is OcUK forums where everyone knows everything and anyone who disagrees is quite obviously wrong and stupid...I still dislike the shop site though.

I don't think I've bought one item from OcUK since the shop changes, mainly because of the design. It's just so awful to browse.

Let's not forget they provide these forums and upgrades for free people. I can only imagine the bandwidth costs it would accumulate to run a forum this size. Things are a little different at the moment but give it time and I'm sure things with either adapt to how they were or you will get used to the new way the forum looks/works.

People don't seem to appreciate how much hardwork and man hours go into making/maintaining websites/forums.

Yes, it's only taken me a few hours to throw together a bit of CSS to tweak the design, but that comes with 20 years experience from my line of work.
