*** NEW Fractal Design Case - Coming Soon ***

I've ordered the case with three 140mm fans. Move the rear one to the front, put two new in the top and one in the bottom. I'm then putting an Akasa Apache at the rear to be PWM-linked to the heatsink fans.

I don't think so. [hopefully!] The fractal fans are very low noise even at 100%, the case comes with a fan controller for 3 of them in any case. The Akasa Apaches will take care of themselves, and I've got a Vapor-X 5870 on the way which shouldn't be too loud. I wear headphones when gaming anyway, so even when the system is under stress it should be OK.

How is the airflow setup, are the top fans intake?

The two fans at the top are setup to exhaust the hot air buildup.

but what would you have a fractal for £80 and 2 new fans £20 = £100 or a antec p183 for £110 ? which would you say is better as its now only £10 in it when you add the fans to the fractal mmmm what to do.

would this case be much more silent than the antec with another 2 fans in the case over the antec which has 2 fans and be cooler

Don't think about the P183, it just looks wrong compared with the R2;)

would the case then not sound like a jet engine ?
The Apaches are Silent but needs to be set around 950ish RPM this can be done with software via PWM. With all the fans running at low RPM you wont even hear it.
