New game / New Graphics card.

I would be inclined to disagree with this to be honest. im sure it was an artic power 700 watt thing I bought off ebay for about £35 all in.. it lasted no time at all and as I say when it let go it took one off my drives with it. I honestly don't believe there output claims but thats just me...

I recently built a system for my sister in law and it was on a really tight budget.. I went for a 2nd hand corsair psu rather than buy a new cheapo brand.
there badly put together and have poor quality parts put in them.

if you google arctic power 700w review you'll see what other people think...

Hello there

I am sorry to hear of the issue with the item you have RMA'd back to us, can you please provide me your RMA number and I can take a quick look into this for you?

Regards

Bailey

I already did all that and got a negative response from Overclockers.

Thanks.

yip too far from me to try. would have been happy to considering im running the same card with no problems.

Offer appreciated.

For what it's worth I may as well send it to Australia. It's now sat in a box doing nothing but losing value. I'll not be using it. I put my old one back in and everything is fine.

This is what happens when using a terrible PSU. It may be '700'W but if it cant take the load then its useless, even if the amps on the 12V rail are supposed to be 44A. Bear in mind that the PSU capacitors dont last forever let alone when they are in a £30 power supply which has been used for over 3 years. With power supplies ,wattage is no substitute for quality components that can sustain that wattage and amps under heavy load.

Just looking at some of the reviews for this power supply and it isn't good to say the least.

Offer appreciated.

The problem is at your end due to PSU, not the card. Overclockers are not going to test it and lie.

I did the same they didint paint a pretty picture..

if you're willing to post I would put it in and run a few games on it and see how it performs compared to mine I could do them back to back but it would be easier if you can find someone local to you.
Im running with a be quiet powerzone 650 watt and this runs my system smoothly

All the power supplies in the previous links are now higher in price.

What would the best one be for £50.

If this fails to work after I spend another £50 I'll drive to Overclockers and hand over the hardware in person.

He has a 7950.

This is a good budget PSU. 3 Year warranty and good stable 40 amps on the 12V rail.

No. The PC crashes showing a black screen with blue lines after a few minutes of playing a game.

If I fit my old display card it's fine.

Answer seems to be that I need to spend more money.

Thats because:
GTX 750 System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 186W
7950 System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 305W

There are many good PSUs out there, please do have a look at our many PSU reviews as we have loads of recommended PSUs for you to check out in there. What would happen if your PSU can't cope with the load:

bad 3D performance
crashing games
spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
freezing during gameplay
PSU overload can cause it to break down

there must be someone on these forums local'ish to you who can try it on their known working PC/PSU

would you post the card to someone? i.e me?
