Not sure my brother is bothered if it's AHCI or IDE, he won't notice to be fair. I just want to get it up and running for him now (been working on it all day now).

Changed it from ACHI to IDE. Save and exit? Then re insert the usb?

Was updating and said Windows needs to restart then when it did it said some message about am I sure I want to change to IDE (didn't quite catch the message) there was a 10 second countdown, after that it went back to Windows but it's right back at the start of the installation! Back to before I put product key and stuff..

I deleted both partitions which left unallocated space. Pressed new then formatted the largest partition.

Bios says it's still on IDE. It happened again by the way, when it needed to restart it started back up again to right at start of windows install. What is first boot device meant to be on?
