I manually changed to the new one as soon as it was around. I prefer it, sorts out my mail quite nicely. Would be nice if you can customise the tabs though.

I like the idea in principal, but I don't trust it to not chop out any useful mails.

Another bi-yearly Google tweak of GMail, which they'll let everyone opt out of then force it on people sooner or later.

You don't have to use the tabs... Mine has the new stuff but looks and feels like the previous interface.

It seems the inbox (1) or however many new mails you have only registers the first tab not the others, so i didnt really like having to click across tabs to find if i had any other new mails

I like the tabs, would be nice if you could have labels as tabs like the category tabs.

You have manually turn on notifications for the sub-folders or you can disable all together if you wish.

I put it back to old. I've also stopped spam a long time ago. I just can't risk missing an email because it filtered somewhere I didn't know about. I filter my own mail after I've read it, if I haven't read it then it stays in my inbox.
