New headset : Pimax Crystal

Not used them yet, they feel ok though.I didn't use the controlers on my Reverb G2,they feel ok.What i'm saying is i dont really have any experience with any controllers,to me they're just controllers.
Ah right ok, if u don't use them then that's fair enough. Asking because the controllers have really mixed feedback from users.

Good call on the car seat. I found a cheap one from an old MX5, but I’d also been looking at units from a Saab, Volvo, Merc or Bimmer. What I didn’t want to do was end up needing to power the seat, so it had to be manually adjustable, which ruled out a lot, especially from Lexus, LR and Jag.

Good spec on the PC, but can I suggest that your up the RAM to 64GB for DCS.
A good old manual seat is hard to find,i have a lexus car and the seats are very comfy but electric.I keep looking on fleabay at used car seats, very rarely see a front seat on it's own. When i do find one it's always to far away, mine also has to be manual to keep the waight down on my platform.

Hi to all

I have just received a replacement Crystal from Pimax.
The new device came with a slightly thicker cable with two USB connectors. I still have the old cable, which is a bit thinner and has only one USB connector. I have read that there are different cables and of course I only want to use the best. So witch one should i use?

The thinner cable with 1 usb connection is the fiber optic cable and is regarded as the better cable (none of them are brilliant though, i've had several fail with my 8kx).

Another review :

That's the problem with VR headsets. What's comfortable for one head shape is terrible for a different head shape. Both reviews could be right.

He sure is doing a lot of nitpicking,i can swap my batteries while wearing the headset. As for light leakage, all you need is some soft foam and some double sided sticky tape.
Whilst Karl has a narrow face and has trouble with light leakage on most headsets, but should you have to be adding soft foam and sticky tape to a £1300 headset.
I'm glad yours is working out for you.

Who's born to read porn, i was refering to the lenses pushing on the bridge of his nose, and no for the price of it you shouldn't need to add anything.Anyway back to who is born to read porn,or are you trying to call me a w...er.

I'm sure the teething problems will get sorted, eventually.

Sorry, I didn't explain it very well. Every VR headset out there will be uncomfortable for some people and comfortable for others. That's why both reviews could be right. The Pimax Crystal might have been very uncomfortable for the first reviewer because of his head shape.

It's not really a teething problem. It's just the way it is, it's why there is such a thriving market for third party head straps.

It's a sig..... and
I think it's one of those things that 'hardcore gamers' say.

My pimax crystal is great,no problems what so ever.Yet,toutch wood.
No problems at all, then very next post you describe a problem and having to fix it with tape and foam. On a £1300 headset lolz.
And then you also go on to mention that you're sure the teething problems will get fixed!

Yeah, hard pass thanks.

I hope you're looking forward to the absolute zero support you get from a pimax product.

I think out of all the content creators I find Marco (from MRTV), Bradley (who is openly biased towards Valve) and Karl (who doesn't like wired VR) seem to just say it as they see it. I would put more weight into their impressions and feedback than most others and Twitter is getting so bad now with wannabe influencers I'm gonna have to start blocking people. Seriously barely an hour goes by without some tool trying to raise the profile of some organisation into VR/AR without any substance, beginning to think they're bots.
