Thanks I did see something about turning something off but wasn't sure if that was advisable so will check that again.I checked my AF and I have the pump plugged into cpu fan header and not pump header and it has been working ok like that for a year. The fan speed will be readable in BIOS and in things like HWmonitor to show how fast the pump is running , will just show up as cpufan. If you want to plug it into the pump header, I cannot remember if i read the AF instructions , then you will be able to turn off the cpu fan warning in bios.
No idea on the wireless I am afraid. Bios update , or network driver update , could fix it but it should work out of the box.
Many thanks this is great info and I will do as you suggest.I just checked the manual for the rev 7 , is the latest so assume you have that version , and they do not actually tell you what header to plug it into. They just give general advice such as " plug 4 pin into 4 pin and 3 pin into 3 pin".
There is no issue with turning off the cpufan warning. Just run a benchmark or do some full core work when it is ready and check temps, if temps are in the expected range and you are getting the expected performance then the AIO is doing its job. I personally have never heard the pump on the AF but I can hear the pump on my custom loop and I prefer to have it at a steady level and not ramping up and down all the time. To acheive that I set the curve in bios to look like steps and not an actual curve. I did set the curve for the fans on the AF but not sure what I did with the pump. If you need I can go upstairs and check the other PC and see what I did but you will have to monitor temps in a test anyway.
Thanks, as above I have it working on "AIO PUMP" now so is that not correct?Cpu fan header it is.
Any luck with the Wi-Fi have you check device manager and bios network adapters ?
Thanks and will do, it's all looking ok at the moment apart from L-Connect seems to set the fan colours as Red, Green and Blue if I select any static colour.... Minor issue I guess lolI've got mine on the cpu header as i don't have a pump header but it should be fine. It all depends how the motherboard reads temps so go into the bios and tinker .
Any problems use the cpu header.
Thanks, Yes I have L-Connect 3 and although I have a single AL120 that is plugged in to the MB and not the controller. Having said that I don't have anywhere to plug the RGB from the fan so all it's doing is spinning. I may well buy a single black Inf fan when they come available.Have you installed the correct version of L-Connect ? I have the original V1 but I think your fans need L-Connect 3 for the Infinity fans and have you mismatched them with a single Al120 ? if so unplug that fan because you may be confusing the box/software with different fans.
I think jayz2cents did a good video on how to get the Lian Li fans to work together if you need some clues.
Yes I do, good idea...If you cannot fully control the fans properly then try swapping the controller box , you have 2 dont you ?
hmm perhaps too late, apolsimgbb is what I normally use for image hosting. Link the bbcode or html code and should show up in forums. Pls do not link a pic until you have fixed the unicorn vomit , we have been nice and should not be traumatised.
Thanks and agreed. didn't mention it but cable tidying hasn't been done yet as I'm still only testing really and also need to fit the bottom fans. However, duly notedNice.
Just a bit of cable management to tidy, mite need a couple of extensions and once all the Rgb is sinked will look even better.
Good job.
The leads have been behind already, you cannot see from the image but behind/below the AIO are the grommets and it's fairly easy to push the cables through so no worries there. You should have threaded the Al120 fan leads behind the mobo before you put the AIO in. Will not be easy to move it now without removing the aio.
Your build does look lovely but empty without a gpu. I adore how the current Asus mobos look with the brushed metal covers over the M.2 drives. When you do get a gpu it will be hard to get one as nice as your other components , the 3060 level of cards are built to a budget and the coolers generally just have plastic covers over the fans. Zotac do a white version but once you go that route you are paying the white tax and costs more for the same corresponding part. Also coming to eol for a lot of the Ampere cards so if you want a white one dont wait too long.
I'm not really a gamer but happy to give it a go, any recommendations please?Any plans to test the intergrated graphics with a game?
720p low detail should be achievable.
