ok, it's really annoying me now, its not finding cover art from albums that i ripped from original CDs, and stuff like Sargent Peppers by the Beatles, Michael Jackons Thriller, Elvis greatest hits ...etc !

How did you rip them and how did you get the artwork? Mine are embedded in the MP3 tag itself. Which iTunes picks up. Don't have an iPod so no idea if that means they'll come across or not. I know that where I just had the album art in the folder some players don't pick that up.

I ripped them all using CDex, subsequently used the winamp plugin to get the folder art from online stores.

I'll use itunes to rip them from now on i think....

iTunes won't grab art from the folder, you'll have to add it manually:

Yeah, just discovered that now....after putting cover arts in the albums and then realise i need to highlight all the songs...................doing it AGAIN now.

Is there a solid reason why the Touch doesn't support Flash files? That, along with no bluetooth, is a pretty big downside...

I find the best way to add album art work is by selecting the whole album and right clicking get info, then dropping the artwork in there adds it to all the relevant selected tracks

Bluetooth - I don't really see the point of that on the iPod Touch; it is essentially a music player and Bluetooth is more or less reserved for mobile phones and the likes... it also saves them on chipping cost.

As for no support of flash files - it's been said around the internet, "because Flash is licensed"? I can see how that can be true but still, it's a negative point to the Touch.

I've got it and overall, I'm still happy and glad I got it. It also makes my friends envious (and 1 with an iPod Phone more envious) because my phone contract is better than his + double his memory (16GB) for a slightly lesser price

the artwork comes from the iTunes Store, so if it isn't there it can't add it. Plus the tag information has to match what iTunes has.

File transfer? Wireless playback? GPS? The bluetooth chip's already on the Touch, it just doesn't do anything.

File transfer at 50kb/s +/- over bluetooth isnt ideal to be honest... as for wireless playback - I did think of that but the niche is small that apple isn't considering it... yet (plus, Bluetooth in iPhone and not iPod touch adds to iPhone's "premium"?)

And I didn't know the chip is already in there; perhaps Apple has further plans for it, I don't know - be rather appendix like to be in there.

I do I stop itunes to register my ipod when i have already ? It's getting quite annoying. Also is there anyway to sync the ipod after pressing the eject button without pulling it out and putting it in again ?
