Not particularly, no. And a £2-3K saving on the budget is enough for servicing for at least 5 years with that mileage, and probably longer.

Volvo s80 d5? Better than the s60 tbh. Should be able to get one in for approx 12k with little mls 1 owners etc

Why on earth would any sane person buy a Volvo saloon with a petrol v8? Can't imagine they sold many over here. It's a Volvo ffs not an Aston Martin.

You said the D5 (2.4 diesel) is THE best engine in the car. It's NOT the best engine in the car, there are 2 better petrol engines that ARE better...

Regardless if it's a Volvo or any car for that matter, the 5 pot turbo and a V8 are better engines that a 2.4 diesel!!!

And back in the real world where people don't take absolutely everything out of context to score Internet top trumps points it is the engine which the vast majority of people have purchased until the later 2.0 diesel was released. So if your looking to purchase one, it's the engine I and the majority of like minded people (ie everyone but you) would choose on the basis of having the *best* mix of real world performance and running costs. Anyway, who's to say the OP even wants a Volvo, it's just a suggestion.
