New MSI gtx970. No mouse mat.

Old boxes appear to have had a stamp on them indicating free mouse mat. That badge has disappeared off the new batch of cards clearly & obviously not been included anymore. A very "limited period" (one day?). Still think they shouldnt have it list on the MSI site if no longer applicable, that should be pulled. Shame on MSI I think.

P.S. I got the Haribo ;)

Come on man, it's only a mouse mat. Not even in the description. Seems a bit OTT to start a thread about it here tbh.

MSI Computer UK Hi Chris. Where do you see it on the website? This was the case but only a very limited amount of stock at those resellers who had launch allocation. As the 970 sold so well that Friday, everyone sold out of the mouse mats that morning.

I never go for happy meals, always the big mac, but lets say i did go with a happy meal...well...i wouldnt be happy.

Seriously jokes aside, it was a bit disappointing. Its clearly gone to review sites with included mouse mats or word of mouth it includes a mouse mat, reviewers write the review including this free mouse mat information, customer checks these reviews out, makes decision based on them, then finds out it isnt really true.

Their "limited period" was clearly to the reviewers to give favorable reviews & the first batch of customers. 1 day is a very limited "limited period". And if they have sold really well it means big big bucks for MSI. So make a few more mouse mats ;)

As per MSI website-

THis ^^^^ should say "For an extremely limited first day only customers you get a free mouse mat" & then offer cease to exist/pull info off website. Still my opinion.

Complained to MSI about this, they said only a limited number came with them. :(
Maybe all mass email MSI. ;)

I am sure they have some mats they can ship out to the people who want them. :)

The guy is only askng for what he was told he would get. You would complain of your steak didn't have the chips it said came with it on the menu.

EDIT - I'm pretty sure it was an ocuk gaming mouse mat not an MSI one.

EDIT2 - I saw a free mouse mat with something lol. These comments are now making me think it was not this lol.

We never advertised the product saying it had a free mouse mat, either from MSI or OcUK. This is fact!

What was mentioned is that I said on the forum the MSI ones seem to be coming with free mouse mats as some customers posted up images.

I suspect MSI probably only put mouse mats in the first 10,000 units ships and as we alone have shipped nearly 1000 of this SKU alone it is safe to assume MSI sold those first 10,000 units in the first 24hr of shipments.

MSI told me they sold all of the mouse mat edition 970's on Friday.
