20p for 1 hour, i may have to take out a second morgage....
Has any one got one of these ?? and does it work on Linux, can i just plug it in and it see's the internal and card as extra removeable storage ?!?!?
The N95 supports USB mass storage mode for the memory card. USB mass storage isn't possible for the internal memory card because of the way USB mass storage works.
I question that battery review tbh.Well I am not too sure what to make of this, but I am sure there will be more tests done on the battery:
Yes, regardless of which wireless connection is chosen, be it 3G or WiFi, the Slingplayer is a battery killer for sure. A fully charged original N95 will only play live TV through Slingplayer for about 60 minutes before the battery breaths it's last breath.
The N95 8GB is a much stronger contender in the Sling Arena. A fully charged N95 8GB streamed live TV over WiFi for just over 200 minutes, a massive improvement and one which starts to make the N95/Slingplayer combo a real solution, rather than just a snazzy tech demo.

And finally a review from allaboutsymbian

I question that battery review tbh.
A small bump in mA and a few OS optimisations dont provide a 3x increase in battery life im afriad.
I'd wait to see a more objectified review/verdict before i decide on one.
hopes the battery life is as reported above though...![]()
All About Symbian rated it at a 50% boost.
The back of the N95 8GB has been redesigned, with an extra millimetre or so of depth allowing the use of the BL-6F, rated at 1200mAh. This would appear to give 25% extra battery life, but in fact extra optimisations in the OS (and possibly the use of demand paging) mean that the real world increase is closer to 50%. Although this isn't exactly capacious, the use of the BL-6F does mean that very few people will exhaust the N95 8GB's battery in a day, even if they try quite hard.
Exactely!lol - I agree! I have no idea why no one is reviewing the battery life - its really important.
Doing what though? All About Symbian rated it at a 50% boost.
Are the likes of T-Mobile or Orange gonna get this 8Gb model does anyone know?
It could well be out with the others, however they have a problem with Nokia's Ovi platform - so as yet its not confirmed.
I rang the premier team today and they told me they have no plans at the moment to carry the phone.
Of course, how much weight you lend to that news, considering it came from customer services, is debatable.
Orange's loss I suppose! They will be missing out on some great Nokia Q1/Q2 phones.
