Useful. Next question - are the Vodafone online prices the same as those at Vodafone Retail stores?

Good point im gonna check it out soon,

also do we know if the phone itself will carry a Vodaphone Badge carved into the skin? (i hope not :S)

Well I am not too sure what to make of this, but I am sure there will be more tests done on the battery:

Yes, regardless of which wireless connection is chosen, be it 3G or WiFi, the Slingplayer is a battery killer for sure. A fully charged original N95 will only play live TV through Slingplayer for about 60 minutes before the battery breaths it's last breath.

The N95 8GB is a much stronger contender in the Sling Arena. A fully charged N95 8GB streamed live TV over WiFi for just over 200 minutes, a massive improvement and one which starts to make the N95/Slingplayer combo a real solution, rather than just a snazzy tech demo.

and here's a video on the phyiscal differences:

vodafones rates i don't find too unbearable, as i only use data for email and browsing websites that tend to be not that picture heavy and the compression software vodafone use at their end seems to work well, although could be a problem if you want to download lots of photos etc.

Obviously a tmobile wnw style data service on vodafone would be great, but I can't see it happening soon, seeing as they only brought in the mobile internet package about 4 months ago.

Well no, I wouldnt, as I've monitored it when using MSN on my mobiles whilst not having some sort of data package on my account.

Just to sign in uses 50KB (it counts both in/out), then theres the keep alives, and when you talk to a contact it downloads their little image, and finally theres the actual messages.

I too have closely monitored it as I'm on PAYG Vodafone.

Only if you think 50kb is 'lots of data'. It isn't - certainly not enough to cost any proper amount of money.

You need to try it on PAYG and then count the pennies, 50k here and then there, £1 will be gone in no time.
