New NFL Season

Slightly OT but spent the Holidays in Orlando this year. Fantastic day of College Football yesterday. This was the big bowl weekend and all over Orlando there was welcome banners for Alabama Crimson Tide vs Michigan State.

So yesterday (Much to Mrs Loki's disgust) was a sport filled day. Caught the Utd Game at 7.30am on Fox Sports, then the whole build up to the Various different bowl games. They really know how to throw a party over here that for sure. The parades were amazing prior to kick off, just gutted I couldn't get any tickets.

1.00pm Came and I settled down to watch Alabama Crimson tide vs Michigan State Spartans in the Citrus Bowl from Orlado. A really one sided game and by en large, Crimson tide hammered Michigan.

Flicked between that game and the one I wanted to watch, The Outback Bowl featuring Florida Gators (Go Gators !!) vs Penn State Nittany Lions from Raymond James Stadium(Home of the Buccs). This was a real good match up with the Gators edging it 37 - 24. Penn State looked like they would take the game after a dominant 1st Quater. Credit to the Gators they won the game.

Everyone was in bed early doors so I also got the last quarter of the Fiesta Bowl from Arizona with Oklahoma taking on Conneticut.

Top it off, currently watching the Buccs at New Orleans.

All in all a great couple of weeks of NCAA & NFL Football :)

Good NFL weekend next week should even better, currently watching Seahawks vs Rams Next season should do overlockers Fantasy league maybe?

It has certainly been a really good season. If this is the last 16 game season we get then it has certainly bowed out in style. I cannot remember a year that was so open or had so many 10-6 teams in it.

Who do you guys think is the most overrated QB in the NFL? Personally I'd go with Brett Favre, he ought to have retired ages ago.

He has now.

But I wouldn't bet on him not coming back.
What I would bet on is him getting into Canton at his 1st attempt in 2016.

But :D:D:D on Oakland going 8-8 after 7 consecutive double digit losing seasons! & a perfect record in the AFC West! :D

Next season = playoffs or else! :p

Whoop whoop Wildcard weekend incoming!

Some good games coming up but for me the pick of the round is Packers v Eagles.

I would tip these teams to make it thru:-

Saints
Packers
Jets
Ravens

Altho saying that I think the Chiefs could produce an upset tho.

Suprised to see an NFL thread here but it's very welcome. I've been a Saints fan since I saw them in London v Chargers. I've been to every International series since then. I'm looking forward to the Playoff weekend.

Yeah I am, it's proving to be a pretty good game, lots of yards and points in that first half. I still think the Saints will win it but the Seahawks have less pressure on them and that seems obvious in the way they are playing.

Unreal.

That run, with the hawks being the underdogs i was praying they could pull a first down.

Nobody could have seen that coming, with the saints stacked up on the line and it just being drilled for the clock.

One things for sure, they'll be plenty of pee'd off journo's and commentators. Listening in on the podcasts last week, they were all pretty much slating the hawks for even being in the game:)

Go Pack tonight... hard match against the eagles, be a good game.

What a fantastic game the Seahawks/Saints game was!! Brilliant result for the underdog.

Roll on next week when the Jets come to my Patriots!

Oh Packers, you had me severely worried in the last 4 minutes of that game, edge of the seat stuff. Pulled it off though, just about. :)
