New OcUK Website

I agree, the reason why i liked the old site so much was because it was totally different to any other e-shop i'd come across, now it just looks the same, yes the functionality is better but the overall shopping experience is not as good.
 
I'm not keen on the new site at all, it looks very cluttered. Navigating to the page I want is nice and quick, but looking through components is a chore.

I agree completely, looks too much like a competitor, and the link to the forums wasnt the easiest to find, also not too keen the the this week only logo.

still not bad,though seems to be too much text on the main page. a lot for the eyes to handle

Also quite strange how you have to fill in your credit card details when signing up, usually its just your personal details, then card comes upon purchase.

The site needs serious cleaning up, theres far too much stuff on the right makes it look cluttered, why have the same menu on the top and the left?
I like how when you hover your mouse over the top ones a drop menu comes down, why not combine how it stays once you click on something at the left menu and the little popup style of the top menu, saves you using both menus and having one that does both.
Most annoying thing is the stupid AMAZING DEALS WOWZOR BOOM BOOM GET IT WHEN ITS HOT, annoying scrolling down everytime to get to what you want to see, first two points are slight but the last annoys the hell out of me.

EDIT: ANOTHER ANNOYING POINT.
I buy B-Grade a lot, say I want a B-Grade motherboard, so I click B-Grade, use the amazing filter you provided, but oh no... it only stats makes! I dont know what make I want I dont know what B-Grade motherboard you exactly have available, I want to see the options for a B-Grade motherboards all makes, ahh well spend some time looking through each make one by one i guess.

EDIT EDIT: Just to say, I do like this new layout I prefer development, but just some small changes would be better, but getting rid of the amazing deals is massive for me, it feels like OcUK is patronizing me.
It wouldnt hurt to have the pictures a little bigger also, one of the great things about old OcUK, no need to look long and hard to find a product by reading every single thing, just find the picture, these pictures are slightly too small to find what you know you want.
Another major gripe with me is the priceing, its the same as old but its still annoying, show price INCL Vat in big and excluding in small, i'm guessing you would argue oww but we have customers who want ex vat prices, fair enough but peope who buy with VAT probably outnumber them 9/1.
Keeping the prices that way seems asif your being sneaky and trying to con the buyer.

ive noticed there is a lot of things cheaper

like the conroe cpus man 30quid off the 6600 i only got mine the other day

Tell you what I'd like to see which I haven't seen any other site do (not as if I look that much).

eg When looking at a processor it would be nice to see a link that says Recommended Motherboards, Recommended Memory etc and vice versa.
 
Dont like new site 1 bit

I always go to OCUK because I thought the site was no non- sense and straight forward, why oh why did they change it to look all the other crap that's out there. I stopped useing a certain 3 letter company based in Bolton cause I hated there site- NOOOOOO!! :confused: :mad: :mad: !!

Sure it aint hard to navigate but browsing isn't as enjoyable as the old site.

Where as on the old site you hard large product images and a description you now have a piddly thumbnail and a product name and price. If I didn't know exactly what I wanted I'd be clicking each product for it's individual info... nasty.

Also the "Amazing Deals" is already bugging me, in my face at the tope of EVERY page.

On plus sides the left hand navbar is great and it's nice to see a stock counter.
 
YAY at least we have stock numbers now ! How reliable those are is a different story tho :O

YOU REALLY NEEDS some High RES photography for the zoomed product shots they look absoloutley naff when you click on them, honestly horrid and amatureish :mad:
