New OcUK Website

I like the OCUK site as it is, it's functional without being flashy. The only thing I do struggle with now and then is finding the items I want quickly and as said above it's annoying to have to jump back a few pages to move from CPUs to HDDs etc.

"build a PC" page would be nice, pick the components and send in the order.. or something similar.

Looking forward to seeing it anyway, hopefully it'll take after Spie's private life and all be fast cars and faster women ;)

difficulty in navigating the sections?!?!

its clear, very easy to navigate and the best thing... its not cluttered!

Ever tried searching for something you can't find ;)

I don't know about you but i was trying to find a usb hub and eventually found them in the controller cards category, which didn't scream "usb hub" to me.

surely tho in the intrest of business you don't want the site tooooooooooo easy to navigate, a few times I've been looking for a partucular product and have stumbled across something else that also took my fancy, supermarket's are often laid out strategically with commmon items like, bread, milk, etc spread across the store in the hope you will find other items that will take your fancy, maybie some e-tailers work with the same philosophy

it could do with a accounts system so you can check back on your orders

I agree, the website is very good as it is, but with accounts you could look over old orders, could store you credit card details, delivery details etc for a "Quick buy" function.

also great for RMA's, I think this is a really good idea and one that should not be over looked, I'm sure if there was a poll done on this the marjority of people would agree, I do tire of filling out all the forms sometimes and would be much easier just logging on, placing all the stuff you want in a basket and just click 'Buy it Now', address remembered, credit card details rememberd, just easy stress free shopping :D

Okay I think the following improvements would be small but effective...

Put a link to the search on the homepage [You have to go into Products to find it at the moment]

A navigation menu that allows you to jump from one category to another without having to click lots of links and/or the back button.

Get rid of the absolutely annoying and pointless confirm you want this item in your basket screen. If i didn't want it there I wouldn't have added it. And if it was clicked in error, I can remove it when in my basket! All it serves to do at the moment is make you wait longer than you have to. Should just be a simple click and it is added, no fussing about with screens and "please wait while you are forwarded back to the catalogue" rubbish.

Other than that it is okay as it is :D
