the zombies now if only a couple and you slightly near smah you instantly and some sucker punch you to the floor and then others attack . if you get stuck with a big group of zombies your basically dead :p

loot is more rare now and even a makarov is hard to find and valued. same as blood and other normal things . so no more eating twenty cans of food and living the life of rilely :D

thing is i kinda like it tuff but i think theyll tweak it back a bit as most people will probably find it a bit too tough now and not enjoy as much seeing as most people play on big servers that give you items easily and many weapons at hand.


zombies spawn in buildings already now aswell so ill just run in here becomes a whole different story. especially with how they knock you down so easily.
 
Well, our MGT servers are now officially back up and running. Would like to thank dave_beasttt for all his hard work yesterday and last night to make sure they got sorted.

I was indeed on last night, thought I'd give it a blast. Zombie are definitely more challenging now, I got knocked over a ridiculous amount of times. In the 2-3 hours I was playing I never managed to find a single melee weapon, yet picked up a freshly spawned mp5sd and mags in elektro FS :S
 
Finding it so hard starting out, think you defo need a melee weapon to begin with.

Also the infection chance seems far to high when antibiotics are so rare. Especially as you dont start with any and the infection kills you so fast.

Will make MGT vanilla server my home.
 
Just started playing Origins a few days ago, really would like to team up and get a good group going. Anyone on here have a friendly server I could join in with you guys. Willing to use mumble/TS or whatever.

I've found that I much rather join up with other players than be a lone gunman.
 
Just got my server back up and running after the update patch to 1.7.7 with a Custom Loadout (Start with MP5) anyone fancies a shoot out come join us.

Downloading Arma 2 and the DayZ mod again, tried it before but I'm a total noob. Anyone fancy teaming up? Maybe helping, giving a few tips etc? I have full comms if that helps. Would be nice to run around in these wastelands with somebody for a change. Steam ID is theonejat2.

Had a blast yesterday on this server after not playing for 6 months. Still a very unique experience after this time.

There seemed to be a fair amount of vehicles but all pretty battered. Also found a little bird in a field which was locked and 3 big ****** safes in the middle of nowhere. These items were locked so I presume there is no way to pinch them?


Also spawned in Kamenskoye which seemed to have different buildings and thus loot opportunities, is this common in the other towns?

Sounds like you were playing on an Epoch server. You won't find safes and locked vehicles on a vanilla server.
 
That was fun!

Server was full and with starting gear I headed into the main city. A guy screams FRIENDLY FRIENDLY at me of which I say ok and leave him to it. He begs not to be killed, but soon after, there's a big shoot out in cherno. A guy comes running out but I'm unable to give chase as too far and too many zombies.

Upon hiding back, a Bus appears and drives past then suddenly I see zombies going crazy again. I lay low and this survivor pops out, I aim and kill him of which the zombies then go after me.

Great fun and the patch has made it more difficult yet so much more interesting :)
 
Was just telling Witcher...

Playing on the EPOCH server, Saw a shoot out. Went towards it and climbed over a fence into a bush to hide. My character's leg snaps and I collapse nearly dieing. Upon waking up, my guy stands and dies.

If the OP or a MOD could change the first page with our new server IP as we've moved to a faster machine that'd be great, thanks.

 


Can this be added to the OP as well, great admins, one of the best DayZ private/custom servers i've ever played on. It's usually packed most evenings too!
