Am looking to build a Gaming rig for around £2000.
This would include the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I love the idea of having a 4k display, or even 2560x1440 but I really think I'm swaying towards a 144hz 27" 1080p monitor...

I'm looking forward to GTA 5 coming out this year and I really want a system thats going to run that game specifically on max settings

Any help would be greatly appreciated... :)

do you want to built it yourself? in which case you should probably ask for this to be moved to general hardware, i'll go make something and post it here for you

it's sorta a bling Rig (you could get the same performance for cheaper, no watercooling on GPU, no lights or cable extensions, etc) 1440p monitor, and nice gaming mouse + mechanical keyboard (if you don't care at all about bling, i could also get you more for your money) 780ti can definitley max out GTA on 1440p, although you could have 2*290's for the price of this watercooled 780Ti but then youd want a better PSU

This is what I have in my cart so far, around £1800 i think.
Without mouse and keyboard...

Anything bad here?

the psu is overkill unless you plan to add a second gpu later, but none of the components are intrinsically 'bad', did you check if the case could house 280mm rads?

then yeah the build looks perfectly good, if youd like i can design you another spec that's less flashy and more value for money? also will stick to black's and keep futureproofing in mind

switched nzxt cpu cooler for a corsair one (cheaper, more or less as good), 16 gb ram instead of 8gb, motherboard and psu both support SLI 780ti, changed mouse and keyboard to a black/red feel and finally also switched the case from h440 to a corsair 540 (a really good case for first time builders, lots of space)

no, there is not currently a single card solution that can really render games in 4k at max reliably, crossfire 290x is your best bet currently (and even then you wont be maintaining 60 FPS @ Ultra in graphically demanding games)

Microsoft Windows 8.1

What you think?

yeah looks alright to me, although dominator platinum ram is not really necessary? i've never tried 144hz but i just got my 27" 1440p glass AH-IPS monitor and it is SO FREAKING SEXY, like i cant stop staring at it, i got very lucky and there's not a single dead pixel and only one tiny spot of backlight bleed
