New PS3 exclusive will be announced on the 10th - lastofus.com

Apologies if this has been brought up already (I did look!) but I thought I'd better share if it hadn't.

On December the 10th at the VGA awards in the US an "unbelievable PS3 exclusive" will be revealed.

All we have so far are the website and two videos.

Lots of speculation that it's going to be post apocalypse and zombies but nobody has a real idea yet.

Update 7th Dec:

A new teaser image has appeared. Bearing in mind i'm currently reading The Passage it all seems quite familiar!

The text on the paper says

Well I'm glad that they'll be combining two things that are so underused in games at the moment

That's the worry! Horse and bolted will come leaping to mind if it does transpire to be another zombie game.

I'm holding back my excitement until we have more details, but my perfect game would be something like Fallout 3 but with zombies. Not the ridiculous "infected" type enemies though, I mean proper zombies as in dead people. They should only be able to shamble quickly at best, none of this 28 Days Later parkour style jumping over bins and sprinting at full speed.

Guess the 'unbelievable' PS3 exclusive

So this saturday I believe is the VGAs, there's gonna be an "unexpected" and "unbelievable" PS3 exclusive announced with a full in-game trailer, not a teaser from an "amazing developer" we're gonna 'meet the characters' and 'see the world'

Now my guess is it sounds like GTA V, I really hope not though.. what do you guys think?

Well it has to be an existing franchise otherwise it wouldn't be an unbelievable exclusive And I'm thinking it's probably a series that has only previously been on the xbox so I'm going to say Gears of War

It's late and that's the first thing that came to mind, I have no idea if EPIC are still tied to Microsoft even though the initial trilogy has now ended :/

I love Half Life! Has it been confirmed that this is a big first party Sony studio working on the game? Also I heard it's a brand new IP but who knows.

Doubt its HL3, more a spinoff like the original HL had with OF and BS. Just cant see HL3 ever being a platform exclusive, Valve just dont need that...

For some reason Im happy to run with the rumour mill, rather than being pessimistic, quite bored of exclusive sequels TBH and at this time of year, its at least somthing to look forward to

...

I swear with the ant video the BG is more important than the ant itself - loving the YT spot regards to that fungus that drives ants mad (IIRC) before it sprouts out of the ants head...

any decent game by any decent developer would be on both consoles, because why limit your target market? unless the company can afford to pay more for exclusivity than sales would generate on the other console.

the only exception to this rule so far have been

Halo, Gears of War and Gran Turismo, i think.

They are not. MGS HD Collection is coming out for Xbox 360 as well and Resident Evil has been on all three consoles of the current generation. Also there's already a thread for this.

Thought it was called The Last of Us and seems to be some kind of post apocalyptic setting? Sounds like a brand new IP to me, I don't think it'll be anything by Rockstar as they're already busy with GTA 5 and Max Payne 3.

Naaah they are doing something called 'Agent' - they mentioned it when they dropped first details on LA Noire IIRC - think its a spy game...

Quick Google seems to show its set in 1970s and still being developed so unlikely to be that...

I thought that they stopped development of Agent? Probably isn't going to be Rockstar then, I think the guy in the Gametrailers video said that it's a well known first party Sony developer. It's 3:30, I'm going to sleep now.
