New ROBOCOP

The fact that Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton (who let him out of the woodwork :p) & Samuel L Jackson will probably be the only three good things about this film. It positively stinks of total recall remake & that was more pants than the y fronts I wore when was 10.

PG-13 means that they have a potentially bigger audience (for a blatantly crap film) and can sell lots of Robocop/ED-209 toys in Argos.

Let's face it, this is for kiddies. That's where the money is.

Thr first film was good and dark and violent, that's why it's a classic. Demeaning the brand with the increasingly inferior sequels for lower age ranges just ruined the whole thing. This looks awful.

Robocop! What can you say that has not been said already?

Original - Classic, just brilliant. even by 1980's standards it stood head and shoulders above everything!

Reboot - Good mindless fun for 2hours or more, sadly will be forgotten quickly.

It looks too much like a guy in a plastic suit, rather than essentially a cyborg.

Too right. Amazing to think the original is 26 years old, and with a limited budget they managed to make Robocop look a hell of a lot more convincing than a modern day film. It would be interesting to know if they spent more than $50 on the suit for this remake, because it sure doesn't look it.

I've seen the trailer and I'll watch the film. I'm baffled as to why there is such a negative buzz around this? :confused.

Also; why are people mentioning that the certificate (PG-13) is going to 'ruin' the film? Someone else mentioned that the PG-13 'ruined' Terminator, what, no, the film being awful is what ruined that.

You can't seriously have already formed the opinion of the film based on one trailer, wait until the film, go in without the negative mind frame and you might just enjoy it.

I'll watch it to see how bad it is compared to the original.

I'm gutted it is PG 13. Just wtf at that?

This needed to be an all film similar to expendables.

I guess we'll have to wait for the reboot of the reboot.

Why the hell does robocop have a human hand???????

Have they deliberately set out to do the opposite of the original. 'We've managed to save his arm BIN IT we want cool robot arm killing bad guys violence!!!!'

Why the hell does robocop have a human hand???????....

Lol, indeed. I laughed when I saw that. What purpose does it have? Allow his hand to perform more complex things a robotic one cannot?

The bit where someone says that he has 80% 4th degree burns made me laugh as well, seeing Murphy lying in the background. Clearly the makers of this film have no clue what that actually looks like. So his face and right hand miraculously escape this 80% 4th degree burning do they?

That trailer just looks like Robocop 3: part 2.

No, you're right there. Friend of mine said that to me last night after seeing the trailer. To be fair to the director, he did not want to make the film family friendly. He had a lot of ideas about what he wanted to do with the film, but they tied his hands.
