Not only that but you certainly wouldn't be getting 1080ti performance, if you want 21:9 the best option right now is the 100hz 3440x1440 G-Sync monitors.

What do you mean by not getting 1080 it performance? You mean like you would with a g sync screen?

Yeah get G-Sync then the best performance available is a 1080 ti, if you get Freesync (like me) then the best option is Vega 64 (GTX 1080 with massive heat output), I truly wish I invested in G-Sync now, I've learn't and while hating how nVidia haven't support open standards know that if I want the best performance available then I have to pay extra and be use to being shafted for it.
