DS9s political undertone (and im going to be pretty harsh here) was simply too deep for the majority of the US audience to understand and the lack of the story opening and closing in 1 episode turned them away.
What episode was that?

I am glad I stuck with this.
There's a twist at every episode !
How can they keep this up? Its had more shocking turns in the past few episodes than a whole season would in the old trek days.
All the main plot twists have been obvious a mile away. Shame really as has been really good otherwise.
How many different ways can you write the same thing?
Not many episodes left to salvage this first season. I still hope they pull it off, because I'm always going to be a Star Trek fan. I just wish this was still 'Trek', and not just 'A Generic Dark Sci-Fi Series With Superficially Trek-related Elements™'.
I don't know, how many ways can the Discovery team find to screw with established continuity?
