Out of all the games I've bought on Steam deals, I'd say Defence Grid is the one I've played the most. Excellent if you enjoy tower style games.defence grid worth it anyone?!
Still can't purchase anything.
It's quite easy once you learn to make the aliens take the longest possible path by placing towers strategically. On the last level you can make their journey over 10x times furtherAnyone got any tips for the last level - I've come *SO* close but keep failing
Once you've cracked how to make them walk the longest possible route, get towers upgraded to maximum in places where they can hit the aliens on severals parts of their journey. I found the cannons are lethal when fully powered up and they also hit airbourneOn my last try I did just manage to get the achievement for a very long route so thats not the issue!
The problem I had was those blasted ones which can spawn in other aliens - you get one from each path and I can take one down with the orbital laser but the other then gets time to spawn in those Rhinos (the really fast boss aliens) which then manage to nab the last core I have and get away with it![]()
Kinda stating the obvious here folks, but now that the daily deals are done, it may be worth reviewing some of the other promotions before they disappear - e.g. 66% off all Atari games (considering Riddick @ £5.09 myself, already bought The Witcher Enhanced Director's Cut @ £7.84) or maybe the Eidos Pack for those in the market for Batman:AA.
Sniper Elite and Evil Genius are both under £2 as well, may be worth a punt as a pint in the local would cost more than both games combined.
