NEW STEAM DEALS!!!!

My total number of steam game is well into the 110's now thanks to these sales. I've also purchased a few games I already own so I can pass on the boxed copies to friends.

Defo grab Defense Grid at this price - I missed it at the first time of asking but even at £5.79 or whatever I paid it's worth every penny :)

Anyone got any tips for the last level - I've come *SO* close but keep failing

I bought

Ghostbusters
Mass Effect
Knights of the Old Republic

Trying to get Indigo Prophecy (didn't realise it was Fahrenheit until just now) when steam starts working.

It's quite easy once you learn to make the aliens take the longest possible path by placing towers strategically. On the last level you can make their journey over 10x times further :)

Then use the strongest towers at choke points. Once you get it right it's very rare one even get close to escaping.

On my last try I did just manage to get the achievement for a very long route so thats not the issue!

The problem I had was those blasted ones which can spawn in other aliens - you get one from each path and I can take one down with the orbital laser but the other then gets time to spawn in those Rhinos (the really fast boss aliens) which then manage to nab the last core I have and get away with it :p

Haha, so stoked that they put gta iv back up. Decided not to buy it on the first day, but regreted it since! Shame theres no new offers mind.

Kinda stating the obvious here folks, but now that the daily deals are done, it may be worth reviewing some of the other promotions before they disappear - e.g. 66% off all Atari games (considering Riddick @ £5.09 myself, already bought The Witcher Enhanced Director's Cut @ £7.84) or maybe the Eidos Pack for those in the market for Batman:AA.

Sniper Elite and Evil Genius are both under £2 as well, may be worth a punt as a pint in the local would cost more than both games combined.

Once you've cracked how to make them walk the longest possible route, get towers upgraded to maximum in places where they can hit the aliens on severals parts of their journey. I found the cannons are lethal when fully powered up and they also hit airbourne :)

The trick to those spawning bosses is killing them early, so make sure you have lots of fully upgraded towers at the beginning of their journey. If your towers are too close to the end you'll just get over run by all the spawned enemies.

Another trick for last level - infact all levels when going for gold medals - is to use the towers that slow down the enemy in the right spots.

I'll go through the list again for about the 3rd time - I hate the idea I may have missed something :p
