That id pack is tempting purely for the convienience of having it all on Steam, but I can't help but think it would never get played (I also have a lot of it already)!

Most of those iD games are poo TBH, the normal price they charge for them is insane, £5.99 each for ancient DOS games from 15 years ago.

EA aren't that tight, they had NFS Shift at 50% off on their own store recently IIRC (for one day)

I'm sure that ID pack has been under £10 before now (hence I got it a long time ago).

Do all the ID games work straight away from steam?

Surely for the older DOS games they have to modify the game substantially for it to work under modern operating systems.

Meh - deals today suck.

I was hoping for L4D2 for 9.99 or similar. When you can buy retail for 14.99 anything else is just a ripoff. (Especially when it is a Valve game) When INW* can sell it for 14.99 with a profit for them, postage and valve margin taken out 20.99 is just 'having a laugh'
