One of the reasons I wanted to play Prey though is because it's another of 3D Realms 'a million years in development' games.

Nothing taking my fancy today 
KF is the reason i stoped playing l4d and havnt got l4d2, i think its a better game.
Personally, I wouldn't compare them like that.
Killing floor is a 6 player FPS co-op survival horror with RPG elements. 6 classes (i think) to choose from (sharpshooter, medic etc) and you can level up each class.
No 'get from A to B' like in l4d, simply survive the horde that is going to descend on you.
10 hordes on a long game (200+ in a horde) once you've defeated them you get the chance to go to a trader which opens for 60 seconds to buy more guns & ammo.
The description doesn't do it justice, its great fun and I've put hours into it this week
For the price I can't recommend it enough! I paid £12 odd for it ages ago, and it was worth every penny.
There are also regular updates with new maps, patches etc. Support for the game from the developers is great.

Prey is worth it for the first level, then the rest of it is a bit crap. And there is one bit that makes no sense whatsoever.

It the very first time i seen steam do it for £4.99
i originally had it when it first came out my son wrecked a lot of my disks not long ago ( about 100 dvds and aload of games

Killing Floor is awesome, they has a free weekend a while back and I loved every bit of it
