New summer transfer thread

various reports and sightings of peter crouch, one was at mboro, another report saying crouch has signed for a seasons long loan to boro.
He emailed SSN not so long ago telling them he wasnt in middlesborough, or anywhere else, he was at home watching SSN.
:)

I suppose it was just him. Govou, Appiah, Fletcher, Nolan, Alves, Guily and Smith to name a few. Swear there were more high profile players in the old transfers thread that disapeared.

Bless :p

Don't think this goes here but it doesn't need its own thread:

Rafa's number 2, Paco Ayesteran looks set to leave after reportedly having several disagreements with Rafa over the last 7 months which came to a head yesterday.

Lots of rumours going about as to what these agruements are about but its thought that Rafa made late changes to his (Paco's) pre-season fitness plan and then there's since been disagreements over the fitness of players and whether they should play or not (incident yesterday is meant to be about Gerrard).

A few quotes from Rafa have come out saying Paco has told him he wants to leave but i really hope they sort it out, he's been working with Rafa for around 10 years, is thought to be an intergral part of Rafa's back-room team and is widely regarding in football as the best fitness coach in the world (already rumour that Utd and Chelsea are after him).

"BA has announced record profits due to increase in number of footballers flying around looking for a deal."

:D

some players do seem to be everywhere today, especially defoe and adriano!

Huntellaar is cup tied. We aint signing anyone, United don't do deadline deals unless its shipping players out.

I thought there was a cut off between the qualifiers and the group stages, so if Liverpool had a falling out with Gerrard (who would want any of their other players already in the CL) anyone could still buy him and not be concerned - ie its only a problem signing in Jan

(Im only joking btw):D

PS Either way I dont think Huntlaar would sign today anyway - just interested in the theory

Happy with O'neill if he signs type of player weve been gagging for for a while now.

Shawky for £650,000, for that price its probably worth the risk and is probbaly a replacment for Boateng.

Reports of Keith Lamb flying to spain, maybe another loan deal with Real Madrid ? Baptista anyone ;)

edit: Euell for Southampton good move for the guy, nice guy but not good enough for the top level anymore

edit2: As for rumors i hope Appiah, Crouch and Samaras all sign for us today :P

1448: If only we knew it was going to be this quiet we could have taken a communal post-lunch lie down and tuned into the original Thomas Crown Affair on Channel 4. Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway are about to play chess.

"Steve McQueen isn't about to play chess with Faye Dunaway at all. He's having a medical at Man City as we speak."

Haha brilliant :p
