I've said before on here Both side of grandparents came over from Donegal in the early 1900's and started life here in Scotland as potato pickers etc. going to sleep in garden sheds till they had enough money to rent a rat infested one room flat. yeah we all have it so good we don't know these days ;)

Noughts and Crosses in 2019 on the BBC was a what if the UK were reversed South African style. It was ok, not unbearably preachy. The writing let it down at times with immersion breaking character behaviour.
 
Exactly. Battlestar Galactica did this well with Starbuck I think. If I do wonder what my opinion might be on it this was being filmed/about to be released today however, instead of years ago. I have the feeling I would definitely initially expect the woke inquisition.

I always got the impression the choice for Starbuck to be played by a woman was for dramatic reasons as it helped sell her characters chip on ber shoulder and risk taking to always having to prove herself.

Superman though, like a lot of the swaps happened these days, seems to be just because they want to show how progressive they are.
 
Wouldnt be too worried about a black superman, would be more worried about the toss that DC has churned out over the years and them improving on it. :D
