New syndicate game? (Project Redlime)

My favourite tactic was to capture all the civilians and enemy Agents and use them as your own. With the civilians, they were brilliant at being fodder to grab the enemy attention, then use the mind warp gun to capture the enemy agents. Other tactics include rocket blasting police cars and minigun as they run around the corner.

Indeed, i used to go through the maps with basically a meat shield. Unfortunately i did have problems 'persuading' people who i need to kill or, protecting and messing it all up :(

Syndicate = yay, EA = nay.

I'd like to be proved wrong, but I suspect this will be a floppy copy and a string of hollow sequels culminating in an anti-climatic graphical splurge-fest devoid of any story or substance. (Crysis, MoHA etc...)

I'd forgotten all about Syndicate! Awesome wee game, I remember I had bought bot it an the expansion/sequel American revolt at the same time.

Played through Syndicate happily enough, I remember the last mission on the oil rig (I think) vividly, pretty rough. But then you went to play American Revolt, and discovered a whole new level of "hard". :D

I hope the Redlime game retains the isometric view and squad control instead of being another fps. The other potential I may see happening is that the new version could be another GTA clone, which might not be a bad thing if they introduce a new twist in the already crowded free-roaming fps genre.

I hope they do keep that view, wars kinda messed with things. Personally id rather have buildings becoming transparent and the choice of 3d view. I'm not sure of controlling 4 guys with GTA camera style.

I love this style of game, where you get to upgrade your guys and send them in against the baddies ;)
I hope it keeps the same flavour as the original, thought i must admit, i never tried syndicate wars.
Imagine in the original game if you could put your guys up in a multiplayer instead of just against the AI... that would be very cool
