I've got a shared bridged connection via my pc so I can monitor the download speed via that.

Finally downloaded about 2 minutes before I had to leave for work so I only had a very quick blast, I'm so so about it at the moment but to be fair I need to give it a bit more time. My first impression was that the roads in game aren't exactly the most inspiring roads I've every driven on. Having said that I havent really had that much time to explore.

Probably some kind of photo mode I guess? Just like all the PGR3 shots before the game was released.

Not all that great for me, i won't buy it based on this demo lets hope they release another one. The best one for me has been lost planet thats fantastic.
 
its not being released until september so they should have loads of time to improve on the demo, if im ever unsure about a game I will buy it in the high street and take advantage of 10day returns from a certain retailer
 
Deffo doesn't look like those, no in game AA for a start and the shados and reflections are not as good, either they have tweaked the graphics since the demo or they have photoshopped it :)

Demo isnt to impressive TBH, but the online career mode looks like it could be good, so a bit undecided atm.

Graphics look superb to me, only thing I have noticed is the odd popup here and there. Other than that i cant complain :D

personally i think the graphics are on par or higher than pgr3 as bloom effects for the sun etc, it really is a pretty game, if they implement AA in the remaining time they have this game will be a corker

the driving needs a bit of tweaking, though if it stays the same i could live with it

but well impressed so far
 
Can I ask what the framerate of the demo is please - 30fps or 60fps?

(Please refrain from saying things like 'who cares' or 'stfu' ;))

OMG troll! :p

Dont think its 60FPS and there are dips now and then, so you probably wouldnt like it ;)

I expect it to be smooth without any dips at final release, but dont think it will be a constant 60FPS. Probably more like PGR3.

Bear in mind though that the demo code is VERY rough.
 
so how does it compare graphically to the e3 trailer? i can't imagine it'd be much different as it isn't like they have two engines, one for the game and one for trailers, as it looks pretty damn fine in that vid - esp. the firstperson views from in the car and on the bike.
 
I did read that earlier builds of the game had big problems maintaining even 30fps, so I would be surprised and impressed if they'd managed to get a solid 60fps out of it :)

Aye, cant see 60FPS happening.

To be fair there is potentially a lot going on in the gaming environment though, so as long as its not all over the place I will be happy.

Think the trailer will be from a later build of the game to the demo, and looks like it has had AA applied, plus probably a few other effects. Hopefully they are in game effects, and not post-processing in effect.
 
Well guys more has been released of Test Drive unlimited today at E3 this stage demo / interview goes into depth about the full game also show off little bit we have not seen. :)

Well worth watch guys if you want to learn more about the game its going to be great i wont spoil it ill let you see for yourself. :)

Some new info i just found, the TDU community site has just been launched and it’s live on www.testdriveunlimited.com. You can login to check the leaderboard if you have played the “time” challenge.

Atari has just confirmed that the demo will stay on Xbox Live after the end of this week but will only be available for gamers that have a gold account. Silver users will not be able to download it if they haven’t done it already.
